
I. Consent to Collection and Use of Personal Information (Required)
1. Purpose of Collection and Use
Chon Co., Ltd. (hereinafter the "Company") collects and uses personal information for the following purposes. If the purposes change, the Company will provide notice in accordance with relevant laws and regulations and, where necessary, obtain renewed consent.

Membership registration and account creation/management (member identification, identity verification (where applicable), login, prevention of duplicate registration and fraudulent use)

Mutual Verification and connection of relationships (family, friends, organizations, etc.), and creation, display, and management of family trees/relationship diagrams

Service operation, security, and quality improvement (incident response, log analysis, improvement of the usage environment)

Responding to customer inquiries and handling complaints (confirming inquiries, providing answers, notifying processing results)
2. Items of Personal Information Collected and Used
The Company collects and uses the following personal information to the extent necessary for providing the Service.
A. Required Items for Membership Registration and Account Management

Email address or mobile phone number (depending on the registration method)

Password (stored encrypted) or equivalent authentication information (such as social login tokens)

Display name (name/nickname)

Internal Service identification value (member number, UID, etc.)
B. Items Related to Mutual Verification and Family Tree/Relationship Diagram Features

Relationship information directly entered or selected by the Member (relationship name, form of address, degree of kinship, connection status, etc.)

Identification information for Mutual Verification (invitation code, link token, verification history and date/time, etc.)

Items within the scope of disclosure set by the Member among profile information (profile photo, bio, etc.)
C. Items Automatically Generated or Collected During Use of the Service

Access records, usage records, IP address

Device/app information (OS, version, etc.), error logs

Identification information based on cookies or similar technologies (where applicable for web usage)
D. Items Collected When Using Customer Support

Contact information (email/phone number, whichever the Member provided)

3. Retention and Use Period
The Company shall, in principle, retain and use personal information until the Member withdraws membership. However, in the following cases, the information may be retained for a certain period until the relevant reason is resolved or to the extent necessary in accordance with relevant laws and regulations.

Where there is a statutory retention obligation: The information shall be retained for the period specified by the relevant law and then destroyed.

Where retention is necessary for legitimate purposes such as preventing fraudulent use, resolving disputes, or handling complaints:
The information shall be separately retained until such purpose is achieved and then destroyed.
4. Right to Refuse Consent and Disadvantages Thereof
Users have the right to refuse consent to the collection and use of personal information. However, if consent is refused for items essential to the provision of the Service (such as membership registration), membership registration and use of the Service may be restricted.
5. Matters Concerning the Processing of Personal Information of Children Under the Age of 14
In principle, the Company does not collect personal information from children under the age of 14.
However, given the nature of family relationships, where a child under the age of 14 may be registered or invited into a family tree/relationship diagram by another Member, the Company shall collect and use such child's personal information only after obtaining consent from the child's legal guardian, in accordance with Article 22-2 of the Personal Information Protection Act. To verify the legal guardian's consent, the Company may collect the minimum necessary information, such as the legal guardian's name and contact information, and such information shall be used solely for the purpose of verifying consent and shall be destroyed without delay after verification.
The legal guardian may, at any time, request access to, correction or deletion of, or withdrawal of consent regarding the child's personal information.
6. Method of Withdrawing Consent
Users may withdraw their consent to the collection and use of personal information (i.e., withdraw membership) at any time after registration, using the following methods.

Direct withdrawal via the [Settings] → [Account] → [Withdraw Membership] menu within the app

Requesting withdrawal through Customer Center (by phone or email)
Upon withdrawal of consent, the Company shall, without delay, destroy all personal information except for information required to be retained under relevant laws and regulations.
II. Consent to Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties (Required · When Using Mutual Verification/Family Tree Features)
The Company provides personal information to third parties (including other Members) as set forth below. This consent is necessary for using the Mutual Verification and family tree/relationship diagram sharing features, and is required separately from membership registration itself when using such features.
1. Recipient

A counterpart Member using the Chon Service with whom Mutual Verification has been established

A Member designated by the Member as a recipient for family tree/relationship diagram sharing (where access rights have been granted through invitation, connection, etc.)
2. Purpose of Provision

Performing Mutual Verification and confirming results

Connecting relationships (family, friends, organizations, etc.)
-
Displaying and viewing family trees/relationship diagrams, and managing relationship history
3. Items Provided

Only information among the following items that a Member has set to be disclosed/shared within the Service shall be provided.

Display name (name/nickname)
-
Items set to be disclosed among profile information (profile photo, bio, etc.)
-
Relationship information (relationship name, form of address, degree of kinship, connection status), and Mutual Verification status and date/time
-
Node and relationship data displayed in family trees/relationship diagrams (to the extent entered/shared by the Member)
※ Highly sensitive information such as contact information (mobile phone number, email) is not provided to third parties by default, and may only be provided within the scope set by the Member if the Member separately chooses to disclose it.
4. Retention and Use Period by the Recipient
The recipient may view and use the information within the Service for as long as the relationship connection or sharing is maintained (or for as long as the Member maintains the disclosure setting). If a Member deletes the relationship, revokes disclosure, or withdraws membership, provision and display within the Service shall be discontinued or deleted. However, please note that the Company cannot control information that the recipient has already saved or captured.
5. Right to Refuse Consent and Disadvantages Thereof
Users have the right to refuse consent to the provision of personal information to third parties. However, since this consent is necessary for providing the Mutual Verification and family tree/relationship diagram sharing features, refusal of consent may restrict the use of such features. Membership registration and the use of other basic services shall not be affected.
6. Method of Withdrawing Consent
Users may, at any time, revoke the disclosure setting for an individual relationship or withdraw Mutual Verification itself, through the [Settings] → [Manage Relationships] menu within the app or through Customer Center. Upon withdrawal, future provision and display shall be discontinued; however, information already provided to the other party prior to withdrawal may not be retroactively retrieved.
III. Consent to Receive Marketing Information (Optional)
The Company wishes to collect and use personal information as set forth below for purposes such as providing notice of events/promotions, notifying users of new features/benefits, and conducting surveys and satisfaction research (where applicable). This consent is entirely separate and optional from the required consents in Sections I and II above, and refusal to consent shall result in no restriction or disadvantage whatsoever in the use of basic Services.

4. Right to Refuse Consent and Disadvantages Thereof
Even if you do not consent, there shall be no disadvantage in using the Service. Pursuant to Article 50 of the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, the Company shall not transmit advertising information without prior consent, and shall not transmit advertising information between 9:00 PM and 8:00 AM the following day without separate prior consent.
5. Method of Withdrawing Consent
You may withdraw your consent to receive marketing information at any time, by channel, through the [Settings] → [Notification Settings] menu within the app, or by using the unsubscribe link or procedure at the bottom of any sent email or text message.
