CHON is a relationship-based trust network company that digitally extends the traditional Korean concept of "chonsu" (degree of kinship).
CHON implements "chonsu" — Korea's unique unit for measuring degrees of kinship — on the blockchain, creating a new DID (Decentralized Identity) paradigm in which identity is guaranteed not by an issuing authority, but by "relationships" themselves. Through a mutual-verification DID in which family, friends, and colleagues authenticate one another, CHON realizes a true Self-Sovereign Identity.
Starting from the family tree, this trust network expands in multiple layers on top of a single DID core — extending into voice phishing prevention, K-pop fandoms, Zero Trust IAM, and health MyData. As a trust layer built for the Web3 and metaverse era, CHON leverages blockchain,
ZKP (Zero-Knowledge Proof), and standard DID technologies to return sovereignty over personal information to the user.
